Proper Hand Signals

Proper Hand Signals

Communication on the road is very important for motorcyclists and hand signals are the only safe way we can communicate on the road. Whether it is a warning to fellow riders of potential hazards coming up or telling a car that it is getting too close, there are universal signals all bikers should know. Before you hit the road on your next solo or group ride, check out this guide from the MSF on proper hand signals.

While most of us seasoned riders know these like the back of our hand, so to speak, it’s always good to refresh our memories. For any of you new riders, be sure to study these and be familiar before your next ride. Traffic conditions change constantly and quickly. Signaling other riders of any dangers up the road saves lives. Know them and use them.

It is not the number of miles you have ridden or how many years you have been riding, safety is ongoing. Unfortunately, even the safest riders have accidents. If you or a loved one has been injured in a NC motorcycle accident, contact me, Bob Karney NC motorcycle accident attorney.
