CAUTION: Wet Leaves

CAUTION: Wet Leaves

October is a great riding month in the Carolinas. Many of us are already looking forward to that weekend ride up the Blue Ridge Parkway, taking in the beautiful Fall foliage and crisp air. Eventually though that Fall foliage literally falls and can cause some major safety hazards for us.

Wet leaves on pavement may be one of the slipperiest substances on the ground. Keep a sharp eye out for these, especially inside blind curves, edges of the road, at intersections, and on neighborhood side streets. They can make your wheels, or even an extended foot at a stop, slip right out from under you. So as you hit the road for that Fall ride you’ve been itching for all year, be sure to watch out for those slippery leaves.

If you’ve been injured in a motorcycle accident through no fault of your own, call Bob Karney, a motorcycle injury lawyer in North Carolina at 704 577-9360 or by filling out the contact form. As a lawyer, he knows your rights. As a biker, he understands. Karney Law Firm knows how to handle motorcycle injury cases; representing bikers since 1975.
