Greg Council

"We initially sought the help of another law firm and after some time became concerned that Greg's limitations and loss of capabilities were not being properly addressed. A friend of ours referred us to Robert Karney who discussed the case with us and explained in detail how he would handle the case given Greg's limitations and the effects they were having on our family. He spent a great deal of time discussing how each of the family members were doing, and specifically the way that I, Julia, was coping with and handling all of the new stress and changes in my husband. After this meeting it was very clear to us that we should turn our case over to Mr. Karney." Fourteen years later the Council's still beam while speaking of Mr. Karney and the firm. They loved that he helped them find physicians in the areas of specialty that Greg needed, relieving them of the stress of finding a physician on their own. They also loved the personal care that they received and the detailed status updates that were readily available to them. Greg particularly feels that Mr. Karney was always direct with him helping keep him in the right direction even years after his claim was finished. Today Robert Karney remains the family attorney! Personal injury attorney Robert A. Karney provides legal advice and representation to injured clients across North Carolina, including Raleigh, Durham, Greenville, Greensboro, Winston-Salem, Fayetteville, Morganton, Asheville, Gastonia, Wilmington, Statesville, Jacksonville, Rocky Mount, Goldsboro, Hickory, and Avery County. |

On March 2, 1992, thirty-one year old Greg Council was working for the City of Charlotte dumping a load at the city landfill. While waiting for his load to finish, a truck next to him had a malfunction which caused their swinging door to come down and hit Greg on the head. Greg had a closed head injury damaging the neurons on that side of his head which caused permanent injuries to his long term memory, chronic manic depression, and damage to his speech and cognitive skills all of which required complete rehabilitation to retrain him in even everyday types of activities. This is what they had to say about Mr. Karney and the firm's representation:
