Robert A. Karney

Bob and his wife, Ginger, live in Charlotte, North Carolina where he has been a resident for over 30 years.  Bob was born and raised in Fort Lauderdale, Florida the son of a local contractor who put him to work at a young age, believing that hard work and responsibility are important lessons for children to learn.  After earning his way through college at Mercer University in Macon, Georgia, working construction and various other jobs Bob entered Cumberland School of Law at Samford University graduating in May 1975.  He began his legal career in September of 1975 working with two then prominent Charlotte attorneys handling their personal injury practice.  In the first month of his practice he was given responsibility for over 60 personal injury cases which had received little or no attention.  After many early mornings and late nights he successfully concluded those cases and realized his passion was to help people recover from catastrophic accidents.  In 1979 Bob opened his own law practice, specializing in personal injury and medical malpractice which continues to the present.

In his over 30 years of practice, Bob has represented individuals and their families against major trucking companies, the Ford Motor Company, Bell South, Pepsi Cola Bottling Corp., USA Today, manufacturers in the healthcare industry, negligent physicians/hospitals, nursing homes, the State of North Carolina and virtually every insurance company throughout the country.  Although he resides in North Carolina his representation of individuals and families stretches west of the Mississippi, as far south as Key Largo, Florida (the Florida Keys) and as far north as New York City.

At the present time, Bob is personally accepting cases with catastrophic, serious and permanent injuries.  These cases involve motorcycle accidents, serious automobile accidents, traumatic brain injury and wrongful death, in addition to truck/big rig accidents, physician/hospital mistakes and nursing home negligence.
